I am in shock about Mr. Hulk Hogan and his racist comments that he made about his daughter dating an African-American man. This audio recording happened about eight years ago per People magazine and The National Enquirer. This is what he said about his daughter Brooke dating an African-American man…”I mean, I’d rather if she was going to fxxk some nxxxxr, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall nxxxxr worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. Fxxking nxxxxr”.
I was raised on WWF wresting and watching Hulk Hogan come out and call his fans the “Hulkamaniacs” on Saturday mornings on TV in the 80’s and early 90’s. The “Hulkster” as he called himself was friendly, caring, and always trying to uplift the kids on TV. It is really sad to see Hulk Hogan be one the latest celebrities saying very racist comments toward someone of another race. I was hurt but not surprised! I think as humans we try to think the best of our favorite celebrities and so-called hero’s. However, they are people too! We must realize that they have to put on a show to keep fans and make money!
Hulk Hogan always had African-Americans around him from Mr.T to Dennis Rodman. He was always calling everyone “Brother” and shaking hands with everyone, no matter what color they were! “Oh well, it must have been an act for TV!” I am no fan of the “Hulkster” anymore after hearing these cruel comments! You can’t make racist comments on a recording and think they will stay hidden forever! I could understand if he didn’t want his daughter to marry someone who would take her money or use her. However,he went full-blown with referring that he had an issue with his daughter dating an African-American man unless he was making millions of dollars which is the most racist thing to say!
There is nothing that Hulk Hogan could ever say to me to forgive his comments because this wasn’t in the 1950’s, this was 8 years ago which mean he is speaking from his heart! I am very upset that Dennis Rodman would even speak up and support Hulk Hogan but I guess he feels that he is one of those rich African-American men that could date his daughter…Heck, Dennis doesn’t even date African-American women so this was no shock that he would rally around Hulk Hogan. It will be interesting to see what other African-Americans will come out and support Hulk Hogan and his comments in the near future. I think everyone should be held accountable for their racist words and I am happy that the WWE removed him from their website and their reality series.
